Christopher C. Miller is an Associate Teaching Professor at the Walsh Family Hall School of Architecture, University of Notre Dame. He specializes in urbanism, architectural/urban design, and architecture history/theory, with a focus on urban morphology, sustainable design, and community-building through form-based codes. His work bridges Renaissance architectural theory with contemporary urban challenges, emphasizing civic institutions, urban context, and affective design.
Research Interests: Miller explores intersections of urban morphology, architectural typology, and democratic urbanism. His current Bella Città project reinterprets Alberti’s Renaissance treatise to address modern civic architecture, pedestrian connectivity, and the role of beauty in urban spaces. He also collaborates with Classical Christian schools to align campus design with educational philosophies.
