Christopher Bjork is a Professor of Education at Vassar College, holding the Dexter M. Ferry, Jr. Chair. With a PhD in Educational Anthropology from Stanford University, he joined Vassar in 2002 and focuses on international comparative education, educational reform, teacher education, and youth sports.

His research explores educational systems in Asia, particularly Japan and Indonesia, and the impact of commercialization on youth sports. He has authored influential books such as High-Stakes Schooling and Indonesian Education.

He has secured grants from the Lumina Foundation and ECMC Foundation to study higher education outcomes, and collaborates internationally on teacher quality improvement projects in Indonesia. Bjork also supervises student teachers and contributes to editorial boards of key education journals.
