Christopher Ball is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame, serving as Director of Graduate Studies. His research focuses on language, semiotics, and the political economy of communication, with extensive fieldwork among the Wauja people of Brazil's Upper Xingu. His work examines how indigenous groups leverage traditional linguistic and visual forms in political outreach and territorialization.
