Christophe Salon

Christophe Salon serves as a Research Director at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), affiliated with the Agroecology Joint Research Unit (UMR). He leads the EcoLeg research team within the LEGAE cluster, focusing on ecological interactions in agricultural systems.

His research centers on agroecology with specialization in plant-soil dynamics and legume-based cropping systems. The EcoLeg team investigates sustainable agricultural practices through ecological lens, emphasizing biodiversity conservation and resource efficiency in farming ecosystems. Key research themes include nitrogen fixation mechanisms, intercropping strategies, and climate-resilient agricultural models.

As a Research Director (equivalent to Full Professor rank), Dr. Salon oversees multidisciplinary projects addressing food security and environmental sustainability.
