Christoph Kronenberg

Christoph Kronenberg serves as a Lecturer and Postdoctoral researcher in empirical health economics at the University of Duisburg-Essen's Faculty of Business and Economics, where he is deputy head of the EACH junior research group at the Health Economics Research Center (CINCH).

His academic foundation includes health economics studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of York, preceded by a research fellowship at York's Centre for Health Economics.

Dr. Kronenberg's research critically examines the nexus between information systems, healthcare utilization, and health outcomes, with specialized focus on mental health economics. His work engages with the Chair of Health Economics' core projects including early-life determinants of later-life outcomes, education-labor market-health intersections, private health insurance markets, population aging dynamics, disease economics, and climate-pollution-health linkages as reflected in the Essen Health Economics Seminar series.

He actively contributes to academic instruction through courses like Health Economics – Theory and participates in the annual Essen Health Conference ecosystem encompassing summer schools and symposia.
