Christoph Dalpiaz

Christoph Dalpiaz is a Researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria's Research Center Hagenberg, affiliated with the Center of Excellence Medical Engineering/TIMed Center and Embedded Systems focal area, specializing in Digital Transformation and ICT. His work bridges theoretical signal processing with practical embedded device implementation.

Dalpiaz's research focuses on computationally efficient signal processing techniques for resource-constrained systems, particularly multiplier-less architectures for Hilbert transformers and noise shaping filters. His work optimizes linear phase characteristics and broadband performance while minimizing hardware complexity, enabling advanced signal processing in medical engineering and communications applications where computational resources are limited.

He currently serves as Co-Investigator in the Josef-Ressel-Center project "Embedded AI - Artificial Intelligence on Resource Limited Devices" (2024-2029), developing AI solutions for embedded platforms. This project leverages his expertise in optimizing algorithms for constrained environments, with direct applications in medical technology and industrial IoT systems.
