Christine Shenouda

Christine Shenouda is a Teaching Assistant Professor and Director of Online Education in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Her office is located at 631 Psychology Building, 603 E Daniel St., Champaign, Illinois.

Research Focus: As a developmental psychologist, she investigates gender-role development and socialization processes in children. Her work examines how gender stereotypes influence children's attitudes, interests, beliefs, and academic performance. She emphasizes translating research insights into critical thinking skills for students.

Teaching: She instructs undergraduate courses including PSYC 363 (Development Child Psych Lab), PSYC 328 (Psychology of Gender), and PSYC 373 (Culture & Psychology). As Director of Online Education, she develops and supervises online courses during Summer/Winter sessions.
