Christine Roughan

Christine Roughan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University, affiliated with the Center for Digital Humanities (CDH) and Manuscript, Rare Book & Archive Studies (MARBAS). Her research focuses on applying computational methods to premodern manuscripts, particularly Arabic scientific texts, using machine learning and computer vision to analyze paratextual material. She holds a Ph.D. in the Ancient World from NYU (2023), with a dissertation on astronomical curricula transmissions between the 2nd and 13th centuries CE.
