Dr. Christine Rosales is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB), and concurrently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Community, Liberation, and Indigenous Eco-Psychologies Department at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from UC Santa Cruz with designated emphases in Feminist Studies and Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. Her research focuses on everyday resistance practices among Women of Color and Communities of Color, emphasizing decolonial frameworks, liberation psychology, and other-world-making. Key interests include anti-racism, radical love, disability justice, and plant-based healing. She has been recognized with the 2021 Emory L. Cowen Dissertation Award for her work on Latina women's resistance and freedom dreams. Dr. Rosales teaches courses such as Psychology of Liberation and Healing, Social Psychology and Social Justice, and Healing Justice, emphasizing praxis-oriented pedagogy. Her activism includes mentoring programs like the McNair Scholars and the UCSC Women's Center M.I.N.T. initiative.
