Christine Pollard, PhD, MS, is a Professor and holds leadership roles as Senior Associate Dean and Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Oregon State University Cascades. She directs the FORCE Laboratory and is affiliated with the Sports Injury Prevention Research Group. Her research focuses on biomechanical changes post-ACL reconstruction and the impact of running footwear on injury risk. She is based at Edward J. Ray Hall in Bend, Oregon.
Christine’s academic journey includes roles in kinesiology and health sciences. Her research emphasizes translating biomechanical insights into practical injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. Notably, she has contributed to studies suggesting that barefoot and minimal shoes may increase injury risk in young runners.
