Christine Nattrass is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She specializes in relativistic heavy ion physics, focusing on experimental studies using the ALICE experiment at CERN and the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. Her research centers on jet quenching, di-hadron correlations, and the properties of the Quark-Gluon Plasma. She received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 2009 under advisor John Harris. Nattrass actively participates in outreach initiatives, including organizing conferences for undergraduate women in physics and collaborating on public science communication projects. She teaches undergraduate physics courses (e.g., Phys 137/138) and contributes to graduate student mentorship through journal clubs and experimental collaborations. Notably, she delivered the Gertrude Goldhaber Prize Lecture in 2008 and has presented at major conferences such as Quark Matter, CIPANP, and the Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamics.
