معرفی
Prof. Christine M. Papadakis is a Professor of Soft Matter Physics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), leading the Soft Matter Physics group within the Department of Physics. Her research focuses on experimental studies of polymers, particularly those with complex architectures (e.g., block copolymers) and responsive materials like thermoresponsive polymers. She employs scattering techniques (light, X-ray, neutron) to investigate polymer dynamics under varying conditions such as temperature, pressure, and solvent composition.
- Education:
- PhD in Physics (1996) from Roskilde University, Denmark
- Postdoc at Risø National Laboratory (1996-1998)
- Habilitation (2003) at University of Leipzig
- Professor at TUM since 2003
- Key Roles:
- Editor-in-Chief of Colloid & Polymer Science (since 2015)
- Equal Opportunities Officer, TUM Physics Department
- Member of scientific review panels for major research facilities
- Research Interests:
- Thermoresponsive polymers (e.g., PNIPAM)
- Block copolymer self-assembly and phase behavior
- Neutron and X-ray scattering techniques
- Pressure and solvent effects on polymer dynamics
- Publications:
Her work spans studies on micelle formation, polymer film dynamics, and responsive material design. Recent focus includes pressure-dependent phase transitions and dual-stimuli polymers.
Labs/Teams: Head of the Soft Matter Physics group at TUM, collaborating with the Chair of Functional Materials. Active in interdisciplinary projects involving neutron scattering and materials engineering.
