Christine Harper (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Anthropology at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on functional morphology and biomechanics of the primate postcranial skeleton, using quantitative methods to analyze locomotor behavior in hominins and nonhuman primates.
Education:
- Ph.D., Functional Anatomy and Evolution, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (2020)
- B.S., Biological Anthropology, The George Washington University (2015)
Research Interests: Christine employs advanced techniques like 3D geometric morphometrics, trabecular bone analysis, musculoskeletal modeling, and multivariate statistics to study evolutionary adaptations in skeletal systems. She also develops novel computational tools to handle complex multidimensional datasets.
