Christine Desmedt

Christine Desmedt is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, KU Leuven, and serves as the head of the Laboratory for Translational Breast Cancer Research. Her work bridges clinical oncology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics to address critical questions in breast cancer progression and subtypes, particularly focusing on the breast cancer-adiposity connection and less common subtypes like invasive lobular carcinoma. She leads multidisciplinary teams and international collaborations.
