معرفی
Christine Blome is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Hamburg’s Medical Faculty (Medizinische Fakultät). She leads research initiatives focusing on patient-centered outcomes, quality of life, and healthcare disparities in dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, alopecia areata, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Her work emphasizes developing and validating patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) to assess treatment benefits and patient needs.
Her research spans multiple disciplines, including oncology (melanoma therapy preferences), chronic wound management, and post-COVID-19 health impacts. Notable projects include the German National Psoriasis Registry (PsoBest), the GerMelaTox-A melanoma toxicity study, and the European HAQOL wound quality-of-life initiative. She collaborates internationally to standardize outcome tools like the Wound-QoL and Patient Benefit Index (PBI) series.
Blome also investigates healthcare access barriers and physician decision-making, particularly in underserved populations. Her contributions to medical education include enhancing diversity awareness in skin disease management for future clinicians. She actively participates in translational research, bridging clinical practice and patient-reported experiences to improve care outcomes.
