Christina Surulescu

Prof. Christina Surulescu is a Professor of Biomathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. Her research focuses on multiscale mathematical models of cancer invasion and cell migration, integrating partial differential equations (PDEs), stochastic differential equations (SDEs), and agent-based approaches. She leads the Biomathematics group (AG Biomathematik) and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects involving tumor dynamics, pH regulation, and therapeutic strategies.

Her academic background includes significant contributions to mathematical oncology, particularly in modeling glioma spread, acid-mediated tumor invasion, and cell migration mechanisms.
