Christina M. Coyle, MD, MS, is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Professor in the Department of Pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is affiliated with Jacobi Medical Center, where she leads an active tropical medicine clinic and trains fellows, medical students, and residents. She co-directs the American Society of Tropical Medicine Annual Intensive Update Course and serves as a site director for GeoSentinel, a global surveillance network for travel-related illnesses.
- Education: BA from Adelphi University, MD from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, MS in Clinical Research from Einstein
- Residencies: Internal Medicine at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center
- Fellowship: Infectious Diseases at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center
Her research interests focus on tropical medicine, parasitology, and global health, complemented by a strong commitment to medical education. She has held numerous teaching roles at Einstein since 1995, receiving nearly every teaching award, including the Harry H. Gordon Award for Clinical Teaching (2005). She redesigned the second-year Parasitology and Global Medicine course, earning acclaim from students.
Professional recognition includes board certification in Infectious Diseases and international lectureships.
