Christina Livada

Christina Livada is an Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She specializes in consumer protection law, company law, corporate governance, banking law, and capital markets law. She has contributed to law-making committees, including the reform of the Draft Law on Sociétés Anonymes (2018, 2013-2014), and co-authors jurispudence content in the monthly Law Journal Business and Corporate Law with Professor G. Lekkas.

Research focuses on corporate governance, EU consumer policies, and financial regulatory frameworks. Her work bridges legal theory and practice, addressing contemporary issues like over-indebtedness, cross-border banking transactions, and compliance in the financial sector. Recent publications analyze corporate governance reforms in Greece and EU directives on consumer credit.

Advising & Committees: Active in policy-making for company law reforms and serves on the European Model Company Act (EMCA) forum and the Committee on International Securities Regulation (ILA Hellenic Branch). She chairs the Greek Society of Banking Law and Capital Markets Law as General Secretary of its Board.

Labs/Teams: Collaborates with international networks like the Association Européenne de Droit Bancaire et Financier and contributes to comparative legal research through platforms like the Freunde des Hamburger Max-Planck-Instituts.
