Christina Henöckl

Christina Henöckl is a Junior Scientist at the Institute of Soil Bioengineering and Landscape Construction within the Department of Landscape, Water and Infrastructure at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). She completed her academic training at BOKU with a Bachelor's degree (2013-2017) and Master's degree (2017-2021) in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning.

Her research focuses on vegetation technology, stormwater management, building-integrated vegetation, and urban ecological design. Henöckl's work centers on developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for urban environments, particularly the StreetTREE project which addresses tree planting methods in constrained urban spaces. She has conducted research on engineered soils for green infrastructure applications and sustainable approaches to urban water management.
