Christina Halperin is a Full Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Montréal's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in ancient Maya culture, particularly focusing on household politics, economic systems, gender, materiality, and daily life. Her research integrates archaeological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and museum studies, with a focus on Guatemala, Mexico, and Belize. She directs the Proyecto Arqueológico Ucanal in Petén, Guatemala, examining Maya political transformations and cosmopolitanism post-Classic collapse.
