Christina Friis Jensen is a Clinical Associate Professor at Aalborg University, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Paediatrics. She also serves as an Afdelingslæge (Senior Consultant) at Aalborg University Hospital, Denmark, where she contributes to clinical care and academic research in pediatric medicine.
Her research focuses on pediatric immunology and hematology, particularly autoimmune neutropenia in early childhood, genetic polymorphisms in immune-related genes (e.g., IL-2, IL-10, FOXP3, Fcγ receptors), and complications in childhood leukemia treatments such as hypoalbuminemia and drug metabolism. She has published extensively on HLA associations (HLA-DRB1, HLA-DQB1) and autoantibody profiles in autoimmune disorders.
The recent articles (2023–2025) reflect a strong trend in clinical immunology and pediatric oncology, combining genetic analysis with patient cohort studies. Her work frequently appears in high-impact journals such as Scandinavian Journal of Immunology and Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, indicating active engagement in translational research.
She collaborates with a network of researchers in Denmark on pediatric autoimmune and hematological conditions, contributing to multi-center cohort studies. While no formal awards or students are listed, her consistent publication record suggests ongoing research leadership.
