Christina Duncan, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University. She holds a PhD from Louisiana State University (1995) and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Duncan specializes in pediatric psychology, focusing on adherence, self-management, and transition of care for children and young adults with chronic illnesses such as cystic fibrosis, pulmonary disorders, and burn injuries. She leads the SMART Lab, dedicated to improving health outcomes through patient-centered interventions.
Her research is funded by NIH, HRSA, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Notable grants include the 'Success with Therapies Research Consortium' and studies on ETI treatment regimens. Dr. Duncan has received prestigious awards, including the Eberly College Outstanding Researcher Award (2017) and the WVU Benedum Distinguished Scholar Award (2022).
