Christiana Owiredua

Christiana Owiredua is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Gävle, specializing in occupational health science with a focus on chronic pain, psychosocial predictors, and health behaviors across the lifespan. Her work bridges public health, psychology, and global health perspectives.

Her research explores chronic pain through a life-course lens, examining biopsychosocial-existential interactions in older adults, psychosocial risk factors for pain-related absenteeism in adolescents, and contextual influences on pain perception. She also investigates health risk behaviors in Sub-Saharan Africa, including diabetes management and clergy-perpetrated sexual abuse.
