Christian Weickhardt

Christian Weickhardt is a Professor at the Mathematical and Natural Sciences Center (MNZ) of HTWK Leipzig (Leipzig University of Applied Sciences). He specializes in laser-based analytical and measurement techniques for industrial, environmental, and food technology applications, including laser spectroscopy, interferometric methods, and multiphoton ionization coupled with mass spectrometry.

• Research focuses on laser technology for process optimization and photochemical damage assessment in museums.
• Currently leading third-party funded projects like Laser ion mobility spectrometer for pesticide detection and light-induced damage to historical dyes.
