معرفی
Christian Schreib is an Assistant Research Professor in the Bioengineering Department at Rice University, affiliated with the Veiseh Lab and the Biotech Launchpad initiative. His research focuses on lipid-immune interactions, biomedical materials, and synthetic biology applications for healthcare challenges. He holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University (2023) and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Trinity University (2018). His work integrates bioelectronics, therapeutic delivery systems, and in vivo sensing technologies.
Education
- Ph.D. Bioengineering, Rice University (2023)
- B.S., Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Trinity University (2018)
Research Interests
Dr. Schreib investigates lipid deposition profiles' impact on foreign body responses to implanted materials and develops next-generation medical devices for wound healing. His projects span synthetic biology for controlled cell production and real-time nitric oxide sensing via photonic microring resonators. His computational work includes molecular dynamics simulations of spliceosomal proteins like Dib1, elucidating RNA processing mechanisms.
