Christian O Ewald is a Professor in Financial Economics at the University of Glasgow. He holds additional Research Professorships at the University of Inland Norway and Umeå University in Sweden. His research focuses on Quantitative Finance, Risk Management, Commodities, Derivatives, and Natural Resources. Ewald earned his MSc from the University of Mainz, PhD from the University of Heidelberg, and a Habilitation from the University of Kaiserslautern, all in Germany.
Prior roles include positions at the University of Sydney, Nottingham University Business School (China), University College Cork, University of St. Andrews, and the University of Leeds. He has supervised over 20 PhD students, with notable alumni now in academia and finance sectors globally.
