معرفی
Christian Maria Firrone is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) of the Polytechnic University of Turin. He serves as President of the Joint Committee for Teaching and Scientific Contact for the European Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking. His research focuses on Aeroelasticity, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Vibration Damping in systems with frictional interfaces, particularly in Turbomachinery and Aircraft Propulsion. He leads the AMBER project on hybrid-electric propulsion and coordinates research networks like Vibration Control with AVIO GreatLab.
- Research Interests: Aeroelasticity, Nonlinear Dynamics, Friction Joints, Mistuning, Green Propulsion, Vibration Damping, Sustainable Air Mobility.
- Articles highlight innovations in Digital Image Correlation (DIC) for vibration measurement, mistuning stabilization techniques, and frictional interface modeling in turbomachinery. His work bridges experimental testing, computational methods, and industrial applications.
- Scientific Awards:
- Mentoring Polito Project (M2P) Badge (2023)
- Guest Editor, Applied Sciences (2020-2021)
- Teaching & Supervision: Teaches PhD and Master’s courses on finite element modeling and vibration analysis. Supervises PhD students in projects related to structural dynamics and propulsion systems.
- Labs & Networks: Leads the LAQ AERMEC research group and participates in European Technology Development Clusters (ETDC) with GE AvioAero.
