Christian Lucero

Christian Lucero is a Collegiate Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Virginia Tech's College of Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical and Computer Sciences from the Colorado School of Mines (2013) with a focus on Bayes Risk A-optimal Experimental Design for inverse problems. His research interests include inverse problems, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, and statistical applications in scientific fields. He is actively involved in undergraduate advising and departmental service, including roles on the Undergraduate Program Committee and Diversity Committee.
