Christian Kurtsiefer

Christian Kurtsiefer is a Professor at the Department of Physics and Principal Investigator at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore (NUS). His research focuses on experimental quantum information and communication, with expertise in single photon technologies and atom-light interaction.

Education:

• PhD in Experimental Physics (Atom Optics/Interferometry) from Universität Konstanz, Germany (1997)

Research Interests: Kurtsiefer's work spans quantum cryptography, entangled photon generation, cavity-free atom-photon systems, and foundational quantum mechanics experiments. His group develops technologies for manipulating single photons and exploring quantum coherence in atomic systems.
