Christian Kuhwald

Christian Kuhwald is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Pattern Cutting at Manchester Fashion Institute. With 15+ years in luxury fashion, he has collaborated with brands including Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Loewe.

His expertise includes sculptural fabric engineering using traditional and contemporary techniques, with work featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and international fashion weeks. His pedagogical research examines innovative teaching methods for pattern cutting and 3D/virtual technologies.

He holds a First-class degree in Clothing Design, a PG Certificate in Innovative Pattern Cutting, and a PG Certificate in Higher Education.
