Christian Geulen

Prof. Dr. Christian Geulen serves as a full-time Professor of Modern and Contemporary History and its Didactics at the Institute of History, Department 2 of the University of Koblenz-Landau. Since 2020, he has been the Vice Dean for Research and Young Scientists at the university, and he has held visiting positions at institutions like the Center for Contemporary History (Potsdam) and Stanford University.

His research focuses on conceptual history, social history, and historical semantics, particularly examining semantic transformations in the 20th century related to Rationalization, Aestheticization, Technization, and Mediatization.
