Christian Elster

Christian Elster is a postdoctoral researcher in the Social Geography of Coastal and Marine Areas working group at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. His research explores the cultural and political dimensions of weather in the Anthropocene, human-environment relationships, and cultural studies of technology.

Elster’s work combines media research, pop culture analysis, and environmental humanities with a focus on ethnographic methodologies. His publications examine topics ranging from climate change narratives to the material culture of vinyl records.
