Christian Busse

Dr. Christian Busse serves as a Senior Scientist within the NFDI4Immuno initiative, focusing on advancing immunological research through data standardization and open science practices. His work addresses critical challenges in handling immunological data to ensure reproducibility and reusability.

NFDI4Immuno, led by 15 partner institutions, aims to harmonize data representations, metadata standards, and ontologies while promoting FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) practices. Key objectives include developing federated repositories, tools for standardized analyses, and fostering a cultural shift toward Open Science.

Busse’s research interests lie at the intersection of immunology and computational science, emphasizing the integration of experimental methods with data-driven approaches to combat immune-related disorders such as autoimmunity, cancer, and infections.
