Christi Harris is an Associate Professor of Studio Art within the Department of Fine Art and Art History at Christopher Newport University (CNU) in Newport News, Virginia. She teaches foundation and advanced courses in painting and drawing, with a focus on technical skill and formal elements of art.

Her research explores themes of domesticity, feminism, and consumer culture through painting, printmaking, and fibers. Recent work emphasizes memory and the role of women in societal and familial structures.
Christi has exhibited her work nationally, including solo shows such as Fading Brides/Lachrymose at Highpoint University and Background for Beauty at CNU’s Ferguson Hall Gallery. She also contributed cover art for publications like All That Keeps Me and Tools and Ornaments.
