Christer Björkman is a Professor in the Forest Entomology Unit at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. His research investigates fundamental ecological questions, particularly the dynamics between plants and herbivorous insects in forest environments.
His primary research explores the paradox: "Why is the world green?"—focusing on why herbivores consume less plant biomass than theoretically possible. This work spans:
