Chris Quattro

Chris Quattro is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning, currently based in Boone. Previously, they held roles as a fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and an Associate Adjunct Professor at Temple University. Their work emphasizes urban planning, environmental policy, and social justice, focusing on zoning practices, climate resilience, and equitable urban development.

Research interests include climate change adaptation in mountain cities, zoning laws' impact on low-income populations and communities of color, and innovative land use strategies like infill development. They have also explored the structure of urban planning frameworks and fostering diversity in planning governance.
