Chris Moscardelli serves as an Adjunct Professor in Northwestern University's Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability (MSES) Program and concurrently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the SOO Green HVDC Link Project. This 2100MW underground transmission initiative facilitates renewable energy transfer from Iowa to Illinois and eastern markets, directly supporting Illinois' Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) decarbonization goals.

With over three decades of specialized experience, Professor Moscardelli focuses on renewable energy project development and large-scale infrastructure financing. His expertise spans HVDC transmission systems, decarbonization strategy implementation, and cross-border energy project execution throughout the Americas. His work bridges engineering fundamentals with financial structuring for complex energy assets including power generation, transmission networks, storage solutions, and oil/gas infrastructure.
As SOO Green's CFO, he directs renewable energy procurement, manages all project financing activities, and leads commercialization strategy development. His advisory practice encompasses equity/debt capital raising across the capital stack, contract negotiation, and holistic project development frameworks for both corporate entities and independent developers.
