Chris MacDonald

Dr. Chris MacDonald serves as Chair of the Law and Business Department and Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University's Ted Rogers School of Management. He holds a BA (Hons.), MA, and PhD in philosophy. His research focuses on business ethics, conflict of interest policies, and professional autonomy, with notable works addressing biotechnology ethics and organizational ethics. He leads programs like the 'Ethical Reasoning' module for LAW 122 students and co-edits the Business Ethics Journal Review.

Education: BA (Hons.), MA, PhD in philosophy. Research interests include ethics in leadership, bioethics, and corporate governance. Awards include recognition as one of Ethisphere’s “100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics” and Trust Across America’s “Top 100 Thought Leaders.”

Teaching includes BUS 221 (Business Decision-Making) and BUS 223 (Ethics in Commerce). His articles span topics like greenwashing, nanomedicine ethics, and corporate moral motivation. He advocates for ethical practices in emerging technologies and corporate decision-making.
