Chris Kaposy

Chris Kaposy is an Associate Professor of Bioethics at Memorial University's Division of Community Health and Humanities within the Faculty of Medicine in St. John's, Newfoundland. He holds a Ph.D. from SUNY-Stony Brook and has been a postdoctoral fellow at Dalhousie University. His roles include clinical ethicist for the Provincial Health Ethics Network of Newfoundland and Labrador, MHE program director, and educator in medical ethics across various programs.

Research Interests: Focuses on abortion ethics, vaccine ethics, HIV clinical ethics, and the ethics of prenatal testing for Down syndrome. His work emphasizes disability rights, public health policy, and the intersection of ethics with medical practice.

Teaching & Outreach: Leads the Master of Health Ethics (MHE) program, teaches ethics in medical curricula, and engages in clinical ethics consultations. He advocates for inclusive healthcare practices and challenges ableist biases in medical decision-making.
