Chris Jaeger is Professor at Baylor Law School, Baylor University, where he conducts empirical research intersecting law, psychology, and cognitive science. His award-winning work examines how jurors interpret legal standards of reasonableness and negligence.
He received the 2024 AALS Scholarly Paper Competition co-winning award for 'The Hand Formula's Unequal Inputs', which investigates juror understanding of negligence frameworks. His research portfolio includes 15+ articles exploring tort law through experimental jurisprudence, with recent work analyzing cognitive dissonance in robot mind attribution and temporal effects in mitigating evidence presentation. Current projects develop a two-system theory of negligence and comparative analysis of reasonableness frameworks.
