Chris Carone is a Professor of Physics at the College of William & Mary, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on Elementary Particle Theory, including quantum field theories with nonlocal structures, dark matter models, and aspects of cosmology such as inflationary scenarios. He holds degrees from MIT (S.B., 1989) and Harvard University (A.M., 1991; PhD, 1994). His work spans theoretical frameworks addressing fundamental questions in particle physics, dark matter, and quantum gravity.
Carone's research interests emphasize nonlocal theories, asymptotic safety, and the interplay between dark sector physics and flavor symmetries. He has contributed to studies of axion-like particles, Lee-Wick models, and composite graviton scenarios. His recent work explores black hole physics with ultraviolet regulators and quantum gravity phenomenology.
