Chris Birdsall serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Public Policy & Administration at Boise State University's School of Public Service, with his office located in the Environmental Research Building (Room 1149).
He earned his Ph.D. (2016) and Master of Public Policy (2012) from American University in Washington, D.C., following prior professional experience as a Legislative Aide in the Alaska Legislature.
His research centers on public management and performance management within higher education systems, with publications in the International Public Management Journal. He actively presents at major academic conferences including the Public Management Research Association, American Political Science Association, and Association of Public Policy Analysis and Management.
Dr. Birdsall teaches graduate courses in Research Methods (PUBADM 503) and Public Policy Analysis (PUBADM 509) for the Master of Public Administration program.
