These works employ sophisticated methodologies including latent profile analysis, neuroimaging techniques, and longitudinal designs to examine how early experiences shape children's educational trajectories. Her research spans multiple disciplines including developmental psychology, educational neuroscience, and applied linguistics.
Among her notable recognitions are the Korean Society for Early Childhood Education Excellence Academic Award (2025), Seoul National University College of Human Ecology Professor Academic Award (2023), and multiple teaching excellence awards from Catholic University of Korea (2009, 2010, 2016).
