Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is a critically acclaimed Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Houston's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She is an award-winning author of 23 books spanning fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, with works translated into 30 languages and adapted into films, plays, and operas.
