Dr. Chip Kilduff is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). His research focuses on membrane and adsorption separation processes for potable water production, industrial wastewater treatment, and pollutant transport modeling. He develops models to understand fouling mechanisms and optimize membrane adsorber performance. Dr. Kilduff is affiliated with 4022 JEC Building and can be reached at kilduff@rpi.edu.
Education:
- BS, University of Connecticut, 1983
- MS, University of Connecticut, 1987
- PhD, University of Michigan, 1995
- Postdoctoral Scholar, UC Berkeley Chemical Engineering, 1995-1996
His research integrates chemical engineering principles with environmental applications, emphasizing practical solutions for water sustainability through advanced filtration technologies and surface modification techniques. Current work emphasizes fouling mitigation strategies and predictive modeling frameworks for membrane systems.
