Chinmayi Arun is a Research Scholar in Law and Executive Director of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. Her work focuses on platform governance, social media regulation, global data economy dynamics, and AI ethics. She explores how transnational tech companies influence legal frameworks and marginalized populations. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Law in India and founded the Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University Delhi. Arun has advised UN bodies, UNESCO, and the Global Network Initiative, and is a member of Data & Society's Scholars Council.
