Chin-I Cheng

Chin-I Cheng is a Professor and Chairperson in the Department of Statistics, Actuarial & Data Sciences at the College of Science & Engineering. His research focuses on Bayesian statistics, nonparametric models, and their applications across biomedical and social sciences.

His work spans public health disparities, cardiovascular education, textile engineering, and clinical pharmacology, with methodological contributions to smoothing spline ANOVA and Bayesian estimation.

Scientific awards include the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Outstanding Doctoral Examination Award and multiple Quality Excellence Awards from Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau.
