معرفی
Chien-Ju Ho is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), affiliated with the McKelvey School of Engineering and the Division of Computational & Data Sciences. His research focuses on human-in-the-loop systems, integrating machine learning, algorithmic economics, and behavioral science to model human behavior and improve algorithmic design.
Education:
- PhD in Computer Science, University of California, Los Angeles (2015)
- MS in Computer Science, National Taiwan University (2007)
- BS in Computer Science, National Taiwan University (2005)
Research Interests: Professor Ho designs systems that elicit and aggregate human-generated data, emphasizing realistic human behavior modeling. He explores how these models influence machine learning algorithms and incentive mechanisms, bridging theoretical computer science with practical applications in AI and social systems.
Awards & Grants:
- Recipient of Google Outstanding Graduate Research Award (2015)
- OpenAI grant for studying weak human supervision in AI training (2024)
- J.P. Morgan Chase AI research award ($195K, 2023)
Collaborations & Labs: Collaborates with Wouter Kool (Arts & Sciences) and PhD student Lauren Treiman on human-AI interaction dynamics. His lab investigates how human behavior shifts during AI training processes.
