Chiara Mignani serves as a Professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna (ABABO), where she teaches advanced courses in painting restoration with specialization in textile supports. She also maintains a contract professor position at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna since 2013 and previously taught at the Fondazione Università Internazionale dell'Arte Firenze and the Scuola di Alta Formazione Opificio Delle Pietre Dure di Firenze since 2007.
Her educational background includes:
- Professional qualification as Assistant Painting Restorer (1996) from Tuscany Region's Professional Training Center
- Degree in Cultural Heritage Conservation (2006) from Opificio delle Pietre Dure Higher Education School

Mignani specializes in the restoration of paintings on canvas and panel across historical periods, with particular expertise in ancient, modern, and contemporary polychrome works. She maintains ongoing training in evolving restoration methodologies and new materials, with special attention to textile conservation.
As an active practitioner since 2009, she collaborates with the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, has published technical articles, and has restored works by renowned artists including Rembrandt, Paul Rubens, Ridolfo Ghirlandaio, Bicci di Lorenzo, Giorgio Vasari, Giuseppe De Nittis, Giovanni Fattori, and Giuseppe Bezzuoli. Her teaching methodology emphasizes hands-on laboratory experience with comprehensive assessment through lab reports and final presentations.
