Chiara Ghidini

Chiara Ghidini is a Full Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano's Faculty of Engineering and a senior Research Scientist heading the Process & Data Intelligence (PDI) research unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, Italy.

Education:

• PhD in Computer Science Engineering from a joint programme between Università “La Sapienza” of Rome and University of Trento

Her research focuses on Semantic Web, Knowledge Engineering, and Multi-Agent Systems, with pioneering contributions in formal semantics for contextual reasoning, multi-context logics, ontology mapping/integration, and predictive business process monitoring. She develops frameworks for resource-bounded deliberative agents and collaborative modeling platforms, bridging theoretical foundations with industrial applications in data-driven process intelligence.

Dr. Ghidini leads the PDI research unit at FBK, directing European projects including FP7 Organic.Lingua and SO-PC-Pro, alongside industrial collaborations with Trentino-based companies. She actively shapes the field through conference organization and program committee roles for top venues in knowledge engineering and semantic technologies.
